Peacefully at the Community Hospital O'Leary, on Tuesday, August 24, 2010, with his loving family by his side, of Marne Lawrence Lewis of Cascumpec age 92 years. Beloved husband of Gertrude M.(nee Dalton) Lewis who predeceased him in 1998.Born on February 4,1918 he was the son of the late Harry and Jane (nee Butler) Lewis. Dear father to Ernest (Greta) of West Cape; Norma MacNevin of the Brae; Shirlene Lewis of Darthmouth; Weldon (Paula) of Cascumpec. Loving Grampie to Paul, (Julie), Angela (Kevin) Fetter, Cindy (Blair) Clements, Colleen MacNevin (Rodney Smith), Merrill MacLean, Christopher Currie (Elizabeth), Melanie (Matt Gordon), Lindsay Currie, Susan Lewis and David Lewis. Great grampie to Max, Sam, Ben, Ryan, Vanessa, Katelyn, Austin & Dominick. Dear brother to John of O`Leary; Harry (Ella) of Woodstock; Alma (Jack) Westall of Ont; Leigh (Phyllis) of Cascumpec; Jennie (Wendell) Harrington of Kensington; Rev. Lawrence (Iris) of Ont; Hazel Black of Alberta; Keith (Iris) of Howlan; Verna Boss of Halifax. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Thelma Phillips of O`Leary, Olive (Everett) Coughlin of Summerside and Norma Haywood of Debert N.S.. He was predeceased by his wife Gertrude, granddaughter Elaine and by siblings George, Grace Moase, Gladys, Florence, Lloyd & Ralph. He was also predeceased by brothers and sisters-in-law, Wallace Moase, Donald Black, Oral Boss, Elsie May Lewis, Lloyd & Vera Dalton, Bernice, Eva & George Clark, and Sanford Phillips. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton for visiting hours Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday morning from the Gordon Memorial United Church, for funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Sue Paterson officiating. Interment in the Cascumpec United Church Cemetery.
